The Importance of Apartment Bank Accounts

Collecting dues in the manager's personal account is legally problematic and may lead to embezzlement charges.
Documents Required to Open an Account
- Tax identification number obtained for the apartment
- Bank account opening decision taken at the general assembly (copy of the decision book)
- Signature circular of the manager
- Current management plan of the apartment
Warning: All payments made from the apartment account must be documented with invoices or receipts. Undocumented expenditures cause problems during audits and may lead to the manager not being discharged.
